Nancy Domanico Award for Distinguished Service to the Blind
From Left to Right: Jack Lucas, June & Howdy Barker, Larry Domrese and Gene Domanico
CONGRATULATIONS to Howard "Howdy" Barker, the first winner of the Nancy Domanico Award For Distinguished Service To The Blind. Mr. Barker has been committed to helping in any way possible for the Day Out for the Blind. Regardless of his health, Howdy facilitated the transportation and attendance of participants to the Day Out for the Blind activities. Although he no longer manages transportation for them, he set a high standard for all who follow in his footsteps.

Mr. Barker still serves as the historian for the Day Out for the Blind. He has devoted countless hours to recording the activities and collecting newspaper articles for the enjoyment of participants.

In memory of Nancy B. Domanico and her heart for serving the blind, the Lilac Services For The Blind presents this award to Howard Barker for his diligent service.
